TU Wien is Austria&#8217;s largest institution for scientific and technical research and education, situated in the heart of Vienna, the nation&#8217;s capital. A brief overview of the location logistics is given here: for more, please see the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/icdar2026.org\/index.php\/travel-information\/\">Travel <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/doceng2016.cvl.tuwien.ac.at\/index.html%3Fp=67.html\">information<\/a>\u201d page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will almost certainly be flying into&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.viennaairport.com\/\">Vienna International Airport (VIE)<\/a>, located at the city border (20 minutes to the center by public transportation). Conference attendees can take the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cityairporttrain.com\/\">City Airport Train (CAT)<\/a>, which directly connects the airport with the city (underground station Landstra\u00dfe). Alternatively you can take the bus (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.postbus.at\/en\/Airportbus\/Vienna_AirportLines\/index.jsp\">Vienna AirportLines<\/a>) to Schwedenplatz or the railway S7. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vienna has a very dense and efficient public transportation network, and it is therefore easy to travel between the conference site, hotels and social venues; attendees will not need to rent a car. The network consists of five underground lines, trains, trams, and buses and runs around the clock. The central part of the city is relatively compact so you can reach most of Vienna\u2019s attractions by foot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The conference venue is easily accessible via the <strong>U1 metro line (Taubstummengasse)<\/strong> or trams <strong>1, 62, and Badner Bahn at the Paulanergasse<\/strong> station.
