The welcome reception offers the perfect opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, meet new participants, and start the conference in a relaxed and vibrant atmosphere.
Founded in 1837, Ottakringer Brewery is deeply rooted in Vienna’s cultural history and is well known for its unique blend of tradition and modern urban flair. The brewery’s spacious courtyards and historic halls provide an unforgettable setting for the opening event of ICDAR 2026.

Our Welcome Reception will take place at

We recommend arriving by public transport, as the venue is easily accessible via several subway, tram, and bus lines:
- U3 → Ottakring station
- U6 → Josefstädter Straße station
- Tram 2, 9, 44 → Johann-Nepomuk-Berger-Platz stop
- Tram 46 → Feßtgasse stop
- Bus 10A → Familienplatz stop
